Specifically, Blanc de Ser\u00e8 (2023) received a Silver Medal with a score of 91 points; Agaliu (2023) received a Silver Medal with 90 points; and L\u2019Olivera Reserva (2023) received a Bronze Medal with 89 points.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u201cWe are very pleased to receive this international recognition. With each vintage, we strive to improve the formula, the winemaking process, and the presentation to produce the best possible product in a way that respects both people and the planet,\u201d<\/b> says Clara Griera, Head of the Winery. As part of the competition, the jury blind-tasted more than 18,000 wines from 57 different countries\u2014the highest number in the competition\u2019s history to date.<\/p>\n<p>The three award-winning wines are made from the Macabeu variety, belong to the Costers del Segre Designation of Origin, and are L\u2019Olivera\u2019s three most internationally recognised wines. In this sense, L\u2019Olivera has worked with Macabeu fermentation in three distinct ways for each of them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Firstly, Blanc de Ser\u00e8 is a complex wine with tropical fruit notes on the nose; on the palate, it is fresh with floral notes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Secondly, Agaliu is an oak-aged white wine with aromas of fresh fruit and citrus; it is balanced and refined on the palate, with good acidity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Thirdly, L\u2019Olivera Reserva is a sparkling wine made using the traditional method, with a minimum of fifteen months of aging.
